Alternatively Enterprise manager would be helpful.
On the restore screen replace the default which is the file location from which the .BAK was created with the new file location...

For some reason the user had rights revoked from the database in question.
Once the rights were given all seems to work fine

when default database is master login works just fine when a user database is chosen then "Cannot open user default database Login failed" comes up

Before exploring the newer options.You may be interested to know that I have outlook installed.xp_startmail runs just fine and xp_sendmail runs for hours with no feedback .

#3 is is great with a #1 size .The spaces could be trimmed
and all the words have the same size except caps

In oracle Break on would perform such a function, this will list
all the different permissions but can group them by fixed roles
if you so ask
