Standards are great, everyone should have one.
Unfortunately, there is a single standard for this. Each business or organization tends to develop thier own standards for doing development work.

Can you move the file(s) local to the server you are attempting the restore and try it from there?

I would move them to using Windows authentication, and then setup groups that you then use to assign permissions.
