Tested select * from ::fn_virtualservernodes() on both 2005 and 2008 clusters and it returned correct results for both.
So apparently all the three answers are correct?

I would use the script task rather than the script component.
The FileInfo class should be sufficient:

Are you 100% sure you have correct emailaddresses for all the fields?
Maybe one of variables is empty, leading to the use of NULL in a field.
You can set a breakpoint...
