UNION queries are evaluated from left to right. If the last query contains duplicates and is preceded with UNION ALL, you will have duplicates in your result set.

For the delete process use "truncate table" if possible in your case. Truncate Table isn't logged.Regards

You can start by doing research on what a deadlock is and how to prevent it.
Use profiler to find out which resources are blocking each other and try to resolve...

As already mentioned, a lot of options exist.
Excel is the most notorious one, where you can create a PivotTable on top of your cube.
Most BI clients can connect to SSAS....
