NEVER user 3 or 4 part naming in your queries. You end up with a mess like the one you have right now.
Instead, create synonyms in each environment...

p.s. I don't remember the exact number but there's also a Trace Flag that will stop recording successful backups in the SQL Server logs. If you do log file backups...
