I did try that first. It gives the error:

Server: Msg 235, Level 16, State 1, Line 1

Cannot convert a char value to money. The char value has incorrect...

As so many will, undoubtedly, tell you, how do you know what the "first" record really is? There's no guarantee that the order you enter the data will stay...
