Btw, Thanksgiving is the fourth Thursday of the month not necessarily the last Thursday (see year 2012, for example).

As previously pointed out, I strongly recommend conversion of the scalar functions to iTVFs (inline Table Valued Functions). Basically, if the function has a BEGIN in it, it's not...

Don't audit INSERTs or the "INSERTED" side of UPDATES. Inserts will be available...

To do it all in one query you may use GROUP BY ... WITH ROLLUP.
In the row with GROUPING(Column1) = 1 you concatenate COUNT(*) , GETDATE() and whatever else...
