There are a few Articles on this site that you can use. I remember one call "DBA morning list" or something like that.

You can find some useful information about litespeed on http://www.quest.com/litespeed-for-sql-server/. I will suggest you to check other tools. Just to make sure you get what you really need.

I think you shoulddo what Gail already suggested.

I agree with Gail. That is why you should always check the database before you do a backup.

I have not see yet any comment about SP 3 beta. Did anyone found bugs on it? Did it solve any problems (e.g. Error: 5243)? It will be very useful...

Try to install the workstation tools on your PC an then install SP2 on it (Workstation). The next step will be trying to create the MAintenance plan from your desktop...
