It does depend on the company. Smaller organizations, depending on what they do, may not ever bother with the credit report. I've worked with companies that didn't.

No, there's no formatting of any kind built into SQL Server Management Studio. It does have syntax coloring, but that's it. Any formatting has to be done through other means.

Don't do the ISNULL mechanism. That's going to lead to straight table scans and will not help your performance at all.
