Does the SSIS package do anything besides insert the data? Maybe the statistics are getting updated as well. If not, maybe they need to be.

It really depends on the situation in which you are receiving it. Is the server just starting up? Then almost every single query call is going to be a cache...

My recommendation then:clustered index on ClientID, non clustered index in the GUID.
ClientID is a GUID.
