You also do it by changing the auto-close property to false of model DB.. so after attaching u don't need to change.

You don't need an NVarchar for uniqueidentifier, it contains the characters A-F, 0-9 and - and is 36 characters long.

What where the results your the dbcc you ran on the suspect db.
CheckDB can't be run on a suspect database, it has to be set to emergency mode first...
