You can alter the statuses of traces with sp_trace_setstatus (I think that's where the _ are). See Books Online for details, I can never remember the parameters offhand.

I would just restore from backup. It's generally the recommended route when a database is suspect anyway. Emergency mode repairs are for those cases where a DB has gone suspect...

SQL 2000 SP4 is also out of support unless you have a premier contract and extended support. Has been so for 3+ years.

I'd suggest Microsoft support, but SQL 2000 has been out of support for 3 years or so.
Maybe reinstall SQL and reattach the user databases, but I don't know if...

The NoTruncate and TruncateOnly options on a shrink are solely for data files. They are completely ignored when shrinking a log file.
