443 is all case studies. I haven't taken 444 yet but the sample questions lead me to believe it will have a little bit of everything.

I agree the book is not for beginners. It does assume some basic knowledge of SQl Server.
I bought Transender and it really saved my bacon. I passed 70-443 a few...

We do full backups on a daily basis. That is sufficient for our needs. Truncating the log was acceptable.

I ran these commands to Shrink the log file:
backup
log Linkages WITH TRUNCATE_ONLY
DBCC

Good luck Terry. If you haven't taken it before, the test is a series of scenarios and each one is timed. After the time expires, you can't go back.

I messed it up pretty good. I asked tech staff to rebuild the server.
