... I have multiple UPDATE statements each UPDATE is updating this Inventory table but only for current month and each update uses join with a different tables to get values...

Designing the storage and retrieval of data isn't the same as designing computer processors or power grids (engineering). One good analogy to what we do are chefs or construction workers....

I don't have any complaints about the IT industry in general. There are plenty of IT jobs out there that pay > $100k + health insurance and don't require more...

I understand why network operations need to monitor and centrally manage all servers across the enterprise, but they need to coordinate the DBA before they start digging inside database instances....
