This is an important thing, too, given how much of an impact statistics have on query performance. Of course, I hope everyone has some sort of statistics update strategy...

I've never used it and probably won't be any time soon. However, just because it's Microsoft, there's only one possible answer. 😉

You say that the procedure fails, but which part? Is it the insert or the query that fails?
