Dont remember seeing it. It's just an alias for the final select, which is really a 'derived table'. I don't use the graphical tools often, but sometimes they are timesavers....

Depends on how you're utilizing tempdb. Unless its way beyond the size of your db's and you're short on space, I'd let it grow until it stablizes. It will.

Not sure I understand - if you're doing snapshot to the same subscriber, why would you need to remove the subscriber? Just to change the pub definition?
