it got worse since last week.
So all these mails get into a "junk" folder and will not be processed at all.

even today I received feedback of a 3th party software taking its own log backups, breaking log shipping scenarios ...

You are missing some log backups !
Maybe someone created a log backup out of the normal sequence / location and your log-ship misses that file.
full backups do not...

Ever considered a trigger ( for insert / update / delete ) which checks your completeness and puts an extra column "TSAvailable' to current_timestamp, rolls back the insert/update if %...

did you check the errorlog files to determine who disabled / stopped the default trace ?

sure. if we remove the "execute as" clause, they can see the sqlplan.
However, the sproc is intended to be used by a user account that only has exec auth...

Even created and executed by a sysadmin, it does throws the same error.

Also tested grant showplan to public .... same error at showplan time 🙁

- one of the things you must configure with sqlserver is the number of errorlog files to keep after startup. (now you get why)
- I would have guessed it...

Any extra information in the SQLServer errorlog ?
