It appears that the problem that I'm having is related to the fact that I have two installations although that should not be a problem...

I see that bot bin folders are in the Path Envionmental Variable.

I also noticed that the ORACLE_HOME Variable does not have a value?

Since I have not edited the sqlnet.ora since installation I suspect that could be the problem.

Both tnsnames are identical and I have two Client installations, one for 32 bit and another for 64 bit.

The TNSPing works for both installations.

BTW, BIDS uses the 32 bit.
