well consider this a bit of a dress rehearsal if we ever go to Disaster Recovery.

Why i ended up creating...

a set of logs would not restore to the secondary server it was corrupted, simply would not write to the database on secondary.

this happened on a friday night we have...

have tried stop and restarting sql server and then re attach the database. still a problem.

i have now gone to restore, since it is test database not a problem

all...

also investigated msb database

re tables = log_shipping_databases

shows the maitenance_id plans for all databases

log_shipping_secondaries 

shows secondary server name RXX eg and all databases for log shipping

log shipping_primaries 

shows  primary server name PXX eg...

disabled all sql agent jobs, cannot delete as we will need them again on another DR test,  and i am told...
