Second one is correct. The Distribution Agent runs at either the Distributor for push subscriptions or at the Subscriber for pull subscriptions.

The leaf_delete_count is not updated in `sys.dm_db_index_operational_stats`. Anybody knows why?
The reason is 0 leaf pages are deleted.
To see a non-zeo value you need to delete enough rows.
