  • RE: Preventing usage of "SELECT *..."

I love posts like this. Sure, the specific example used may not be practical, but I just like the thinking behind coming up with the solution. Often that...

  • RE: Excel with Stored Procedures

Much joy. Really, you've no idea how much. It's like an epiphany.

    Thanks, David; you rule!

  • RE: Over-Engineering

Yeah, I don't think Steve is advocating releasing software that is 20% broken. I think it's more to do with releasing software that works to a point, rather than...

  • RE: The Best Days

This is a really interesting area for discussion.

I feel that as I've become older I am less tolerant of having to learn new technologies, instead getting frustrated at steep learning...

  • RE: A Quick Count

None.  Steve, send me an SSC T, please!

  • RE: The July Car Update

The big difference for me was that cars are in short supply in the US.  What?  I hear you cry.  It's true though.  Trucks, jeeps, SUVs etc, you barely see...

  • RE: Hard at Work

I can see it's been covered already, but the way that 'single, unattached' people are often dismissed in these sorts of discussions never fails to amaze me.  Try being single,...

  • RE: Primary key naming convention

Method 2 is my method of choice.

As for the example above, in that situation I'd probably name the columns FromStageID and ToStageID to keep the 'StageID' part.

  • RE: Katie

Oh, I see.  Good change, well made

  • RE: Katie

The page that the raffle link points to says donations are for 'http://www.readytogiveup.com' - that's a typo, right?
