A couple of issues with the script..

Lots of hidden ascii spaces, so you can't copy/paste into the query window without doing some find replace...this can be a little easier in...

On more complex calc's or those calling functions, computed columns provide a significant hit on performance..I used to use them heavily...I would suggest using them sparingly.

Not possible with Report Manager. You would have to build your own rendering front end to control that...but it would still be easier to touch 50 reports.

Dynamic Connection Strings are not possible with Shared Connections. These need to be set at the report level

In Report Designer/BIDs go to Report Properties. Check Auto Refresh and select the number of seconds. Then redeploy.
