Are you using a DATEADD anywhere in your query, or other math on the date field? Look there for a problem and a solution.

Use the List object. It is great for free form reports and form letters. The key is to make sure the list object is grouped properly.

Why not use 1 text box for each report and put a report action on each of the text boxes that will jump to that report.

You can't really control the format of individual words in a text box before SSRS 2008. In 2008 you can use the Create Placeholder option in a text box...
