    Either way will keep your database in a consistent state (i.e. roll back the transaction).

     

    I forgot to mention, you've got the option to use sp_stop_job.

    Run sp_who to get the spid of the job.  Then run kill spid

    Yes.  Use the "Execute SQL Task" and make sure it uses a connection using the appropriate server and database.

    My point is this:

    Regardless of policies, misunderstandings, anonymity, or accusations, the RedGate buyout has had an affect, albeit small at this point. 

    I have found SSC invaluable in my job...

    The sad thing is, in the short few weeks since its purchase by Red-Gate, SSC is already starting its decline.  I noticed the Script-O-the-Day contributor for 1/26 withdrew his/her script...
