Zombies invading my server

  • All

I have been having a problem with Zombie processes invading my server.   These processes show up becasue they are blocking active transcations.   They show up with a spid of -2 which indicates that the request belongs to an orphaned distributed transaction.

I have to kill the process by the GUID retrieved from the sys.dm_tran_locks table.

Anyone have a way to track down what these processes were doing, when they were started or even who is issuing the processes that become a zombie?

Night of the Living Dead is only suppost to happen in the movies....someone help before the zombies get me

    Eric
