I am new to XML and was looking for examples to read a XML schema definition & a XML data file and import the information using just stored procedures.
We do a lot of ETL but I've worked only on text formats so far. This is my first foray into XML.

Microsoft has some good examples if you look up XQuery on MSDN.

OpenXML will usually be good enough. Just look up books online
