Oh :blush:! I answered "which of the queries posted below ;doesn't; return...";-).
I guess I'd forgotten what the question was by the time I worked out what each of the four queries would do.
I hate xml, and FOR XML - all that fashionable junk - so it takes me a very very very long time (the first hour or two persuading myself that I really will look at something with XML in it:hehe:) to decipher a query with FOR XML in it.
edit: change < and > to [ and ]. Whose idea was sqare brackets for presentation markup, anyway?
