I am using Weblogic 8.1 and Oracle 9i. I simply want to insert a CLOB into an Oracle
table
I pretty much know how to do this with an OracleConnection BUT the Connection
which i'm retrieving from my oracle datasource is some sort of Weblogic Wrapper
Connection which I cannot cast to an OracleConnection
So:
(1) If I have setup an Oracle Datasource (using a thin driver), when I retrieve
a connection why is this not of type OracleConnection?
(2) If I can't get access to the underlying OracleConnection, then can I insert
a CLOB using the Weblogic connection which i recieve?

Answering your Oracle question... research DBMS_LOB system package.
LOB is such a complex subject it goes beyond what can be discussed in a post.
