Hi All,
I Have basic question on Windows NT Server(Enterprise edition) Memory and processor.
We are currently having Sql server 7.0 With SP3 on Windows NT enerprise edition with 8 CPU in the production Environment.
I am under assumption that SQLSERVER can not use more than 2GB of RAM and limited to 4 processors on WIndows NT Enterprise edition. Is is true?
I was recently looking at Windows NT Performance monitior log files, It is showing all the processors are in use.Am I missing something there?
Regarding Memory, can Windows NT can use more 2GB of RAM?
Please let me know and thanks for your help.

SQL Server 7.0 is limited to 2 GB of RAM in standard edition. In EE it comes with support up to the maximum the vendor supports. You'll have to configure the extended memory option according to BOL.
As for processors, EE supports up to 32 of them in SQL Server 7 EE.

SQL is more advanced than NT. 64 bit ready (different version), but the support is
there. SQL works with memory and processors, needs OS support.
