Windows user with SQL Server Authentication

  • I'm almost sure that it's not possible, but I wanted to ask in case that I'm missing something.

Is it possible to get the Windows user when someone logins using SQL Server Authentication?

I know how to get the hostname, but I can't find how to make the next step.

By the way, do sleeping connections affect performance? Would they consume resources such as RAM or network?
