Windows or SQL Issue with Displaying Table Contents?

  Installing SP4 on an XP machine makes no difference to how the bad data is displayed. I believe this is actually a Windows issue. It was worth a try though. 🙂

  I am encountering a similar problem: I use an english Windows XP with Visual Studio 2008 and SQL Management Studio 2008. On this machine I cannot see any control characters like a tab (0x09) in the result grid. My co-worker sees those control characters as rectangles on his machine. The only obviously difference is, that he uses a german Windows XP.

  Can anybody help?

  Is there any setting I can change or do I have to use a german Windows XP to solve this issue?
