Our company just migrated our Windows accounts to our parent company's domain after we were acquired. My account had some problems. The strangest one is the behavior of Query Analyzer.
I can connect OK to various SQL servers, using Windows Authentication, but when I run a query, I get "Query batch completed" and a rowcount displayed on the bottom, but no rows are displayed.
Server OS is Windows 2000 sp4, client is Windows XP sp2. Client Network Utility shows TCP/IP and Named Pipes enabled, as usual (not changed).
Does QA use separate pipes/sockets for metadata vs row data? Maybe a switch or firewall or Intrusion Detection System blocking traffic? Registry issue?
Any help will be appreciated - TIA

Don't check "Discard Results" in the Results tab, even accidentally !
In the words of Emily Latilla: "Never Mind."
