Why does column default look like this - ((0))

    I want a default of 0 for a column. When I create this default in Management Studio, the formatting of the default looks like this:
     
    ((0))
     
    instead of just 0
    Does anyone know why the two sets of parenthesis are added by Management Studio?

    Yeah, that's weird.  It only happens after you save the table.  And when you script the table the double parens are listed there too.
