My largest database is 1.6 TB and it takes 84 minutes for a full database backup.
The database is a content management database, Columbiasoft Document Locator, so the majority of the content is .pdf and office documents. When doing a database backup it is compressed and writing two files in parallel. This is in SQL Server 2016 standard edition in a FCI on a SAN with some SSD.
