What to expect on first day of PL SQL at new firm?

  • Hi All,

Looking for answer on what do I expect to happen on very first day for PL SQL job role, given 5 years of experience in resume. Because it will be completely new firm for me, will I receive some time to learn their systems?

    Thank you

  • That is a concern you should have expressed during the interview.

  • Well do you actually have the 5 years experience on your resume?

  • It was my second day, not my first, but the boss told me, "OK, put it into production."  Wait, what?  I was used to creating release packages, not doing the release myself.

RBAR is pronounced "ree-bar" and is a "Modenism" for Row-By-Agonizing-Row.
First step towards the paradigm shift of writing Set Based code:
________Stop thinking about what you want to do to a ROW... think, instead, of what you want to do to a COLUMN.

Change is inevitable... Change for the better is not.

It's more exciting to screw up production first-hand !!

  • @ns550,

    Seriously, how'd it go?
