What is the different between MCTS and MCITP for SQL server 2008?

  • MCITP look like it can be upgraded from SQL server 2005.

I think MCTS lower level than MCITP but I am not sure.

Topics detail are not much difference.

Any detail that you can share?

    Thnak you in advance.

  • I believe MCTS (Microsoft Technology Specialist) is one of the lowest levels of certification Microsoft offers. MCTS certifications only cover "narrow" topics.

To get the MCITP for SQL Sever you need the MCTS for SQL Server (Exam 70-431) plus 2 more exams. There's 2 exams for SQL Developer and 2 different exams for SQL Administrator.
