A colleague asked me what book would be good for learning SQL Server 2005. Since my SQL Server library mostly dates from 6.5, I didn't have an answer.
So, I'm looking for an overall SQL Server 2005 book (administration and SQL). It is increasingly common for SQL Server 2005 to be bundled with manufacturing software. Unfortunately, the expertise to administer and troubleshoot it isn't there, sometimes not even from the vendor's tech support. Many of the engineers in my firm would like to know more about it.
If you have something on your bookshelf that you'd like to recommend, please let me know.
Thanks
