What can cause the Error: "A transport-level error has occurred when sending the request to the server..."

  Hi!

  After deploying application we are getting this error (sometimes):

  [font="Times New Roman"]A transport-level error has occurred when sending the request to the server. (provider: Shared Memory Provider, error: 0 - No process is on the other end of the pipe.)[/font]

  The site seems to work fine most of the time and we never get any errors on test machines...

  Could it be too many connections? What could I check to get to the root of the problem?

  I'm not a DBA, sorry. 🙂
