Verity Accrue Index Search >> SQL Server 2000

    I've been analyzing a current web-app with Oracle and Verity Index Server. We need to port to SQL Server 2000.

    One part of the app does a Verity 'ACCRUE', is there any way to achieve this style of 'best matching' using SQL Server?

    You can similar performance using Microsoft Full Text Indexing, see BOL topic "CONTAINS" for more info. However, I do believe Verity also makes the same exact app for SQL Server if the one you have does not already have support for it. We used a product called ServiceWare (Knowledge Base application) that used that engine I do believe. I saw ACCRUE in it's logs a lot and they told us they had licensed a product for Text Indexing.
