I am working on a pilot that is consist of data replication between FireBird DB and SQL 2008.
Of course the other parts of this pilot include and not limited to are: BI, Analysis, DW and mining + reports.
Here is the deal, I can not find a good solid working ODBC client (or any for that matter) that I can pull data from FDB!!
There were couple of demo tools out there but those were for migration (one time). Also, there is IBExpert (by HK-Software) that works like the SSMS, that registers DBs, for viewing and authoring almost all objects.
Albeit, I am not sure if this tool can replicate data (one way) or not, but, if I can find the proper client drivers / tools for SQL2k8 to connect to FBD and run and SSIS package then that would the most ideal way of doing it.
