We are upgrading a SQL Server clustered instance from SQL 2008 R2 to SQL 2012, on a Windows 2008 R2 Enterprise OS. There are 2 instances on the cluster. Is there any step by step documentation. Please help thanks.

Mainstream support for Windows 2008 R2 has ended, extended support in 2020...any chance you can build a cluster with current versions and migrate to that? Just a thought, since we had the same conversation here
