Hi Guys,
I would like to know what the steps are to upgrade an existing SQL2000 server to SQL2005, while keeping everything in the same instance. I want to maintain all the existing replication pubs and subs, i dont want to install sql2005 and then mirgrate everything across if possible.
Cheers,

Hi,
The place to go is the SQL Server 2005 Upgrade Technical Reference Guide; it covers everything includig upgrading replication: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=3d5e96d9-0074-46c4-bd4f-c3eb2abf4b66&DisplayLang=en.
Don't forget to run the Upgrade Advisor as mentioned in the paper. You can dowload it here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=1470E86B-7E05-4322-A677-95AB44F12D75&displaylang=en.
The Reference Guide is a big documet but do take the time to read the relevant chapters; it can become a bit ugly if it goes wrong with an in-place-upgrade unless you have taken all necessary steps.
HTH!
