Hi all,
I attempting to uninstall a particular instance of SQL2016.
So far I've been following the MS step by step guide from here:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/sql-server/install/uninstall-an-existing-instance-of-sql-server-setup
It's all going fine until I get to the Select Instance step...
The Select Instance page isn't there...
In "Remove SQL Server 2016" the steps are:
From googling around I'm expecting to see Select Instance appear between Global Rules and Select Features.
I'm a bit lost as to why it wouldn't appear... Has anyone else experienced this / figured this out?
Huge thanks for any help as always,
Lins

Hi again!
I've sorted out the original problem by opting for uninstalling "SQL Server (64bit)" instead of SQL Server.
Now I can see the "Select Instance" screen and the two instances on the server:
But the instance I want to remove (Solarwinds) doesn't appear in the drop down. The options are MSSQLSERVER or <<remove shared features only>>
The Solarwinds instance is an express edition, I'm not sure if that would be why it isn't appearing?
Cheers,
Lins
