Hello gurus, is it possible to uninstall BOL only?
Thanks.

Try...
ControlPanel/Add or Remove programs/Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Books Online (English)
then click remove...

Gosh, I should have looked under Add/Remove Programs, thanks Mohammed.

I did check for that but apparently it doesn't work for 2000. Anyone got a solution for that one?

Looks like we had the same idea. However I don't like deleting the folder directly. So I was hoping for a hidden uninstall feature...

If you don't want to delete the folder (I imagine that would be for a "just in case"), change the ACL to allow only your login to access it and remove BOL from the Start menus

ACL??
Is that some NTFS permission talk?

sorry - Access Control List. Yes, it is permission talk.

Thanx .

Why would you want to do that? It does not take a lot of space and if people need to look up something, they can easily access the copy online anyway, so security is not applicable here.

May be they are running out space or they don't need any help at all from BOL

Fortunately we are not running out of space . Since having BOL posed a security risk on production box (SQL 2000), I wanted to remove it on 2005.
That's all folks, thank you.
