Unable to upgrade for Personal to Standard edition

    Hi,

    I was trying to upgrade a SQL 2000 Personal Edition to Standard Edition in a W2K Server. I followed the instructions .... but, the option to Upgrade the existing installation is greyed out !!!....

    Any solutions, ideas or comments instead of deinstall Personal and install Standard ?

    Install standard and move your databases because you get personnal free with either standard or Enterprise license.  Just register the standard and do the migration with your .bak files you can move 100 databases in less than one hour, known issues orphaned permissions delete the restore and recreate it.  Hope this helps.
