I had transacational replication setup and working, but due to an application issue I had to remove it. Unfortunately, I did not use the wizard to remove the publisher and distributor and now when I try to reconfigure the distributor I'm getting error 14261. Checked this error out on google, but it mostly refers to log shipping.
Is there any way to fix this issue without having to interrupt the server (production)??:

Please clarify which type of error in local server

An exception occured while executing a transact-sql statement or batch. Microsoft.SQLServer.ConnectionInfo.
The specified @name ('Replication.Warning'): Transactional Replication Latency (threshold latency)) already exists. Changed database context to 'master'. Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 14261
All jobs have been disabled and I also ran the stored procedures to drop the distdb and the distributor. They no longer appear in Management Studio.
