Hi,
I have trouble connecting to a linked Oracle server in SQL 2005. The problem is with certain domain accounts regardless of what permissions they have in SQL (Even Sysadmins will not connect). If I make the domain account a local administrator on the Server that SQL is installed then it will work but if I remove the administration priviledges it no longer works. I do not want to give users administrator priviledges just to run simple queries angainst a linked server.
Please help

Can you post the settings you have for the linked server? How have you setup login mapping?
