Transfering SQL2000 MSX role to new SQL2008 server MSXOperator error 14251

    It's time to decommission an old 2000 MSX server. I have created a new server running 2008. I attempted to move multiserver jobs from old server to new via a create job script. When the script is executed I get the following error:

    Msg 14251, Level 16, State 1, Procedure sp_verify_job, Line 230

    Cannot specify 'MSXOperator' as the operator to be notified.

    Please advise. Thanks!

    Has this operator, 'MSXOperator' , been created?

    Lynn, yes the operator has been created on the new server.

    Can anyone offer assistance on this? I am trying to shift MSX role to a new server by way of scripting all jobs from old to new server. Please advise.
