Hi everybody,
I've got an issue when executing a "Transfer SQL Server Objects Task"... I want to copy empty tables from a SQL 2005 x64 SP2 database to another SQL 2005 x64 SP2 database in other server, both servers in the same Active Directory Domain. There is no problem with table copy but I want, also, to copy all the database users, database roles, sql logins and Object Level Permissions. The problem is that it does not copy the database users and the task fails when it tries to copy the roles and object level permissions because the user does not exist!
I don't know why is this happening, it's very strange...
Any help would be appreciated...
Best,
Santi Hago

Santi;
I can't really help with your issues, but I will second the report that "Transfer SQL Server Objects Task" has a lot of problems. I suspect that most are because of permission issues. Can anyone suggest a source for information on what login permissions need to be in order to increase the chances of object transfers succeeding?
Thanks!
Glen
