Transaction log backups ran during a full backup.

  • We have the disaster recovery exercise during the next week. I have Transactional log backups running during the time frame of full backup. Can anyone please let me know the right order to restore ?

    :crying:

  • If the log backup finished before the full, it's probably not necessary so you can start with the first log backup that finished after the full backup finished. If SQL does need the earlier log backup it will tell you.

  • thanks

  • But if you're unsure, you can check the header information on the full backup and the log backup and compare the begin and end log sequence numbers (LSN). These will tell you if the log backup data is covered by the full backup or not.
